Boardriding Maui was founded in 2012 by Greg Drexler, a former professional kitesurfer. After designing kite gear for many years for other companies, Greg struck out on his own with a vision for “radical simplicity”, which is immediately evident in his unique Cloud kites, widely known for their clean, efficient, strutless design.

Over the last 2 years of being asked “why strutless” it occurs to me now that a good first step toward the answer is a willingness to ask “why struts”.
