I like the forecast discussion on http://www.prh.noaa.gov/hnl/pages/AFD.php - they usually have a short section on swell (the Pat Cadwell is the best detailed discussion) but the general weather discussion is really good albeit on the technical side.

@Jarad, how do you read that thing:

An important skill for any surfer to have :slight_smile: Generally a big low pressure = surf. A big high pressure = no surf. A well defined high parked to the north of Hawaii = trade winds. Right now the high pressure north of Hawaii is getting broken up by low pressure which means the trade winds are forecast to drop over the next few days.
